Previous visits

June 2021 – Kruger Park Lodge

The Kruger Park Lodge Estate is situated on a 9 hole Gary Player-designed golf course on the banks of the Sabie River in Hazyview, Mpumalanga. The resort offers guests a tranquil and peaceful haven away from the madding crowds.

May 2018 – Ngwenya Lodge

Ngwenya Lodge is situated on the southern boundary of one of the biggest and best-known wildlife sanctuaries in the world – the Kruger National Park. At Ngwenya Lodge you can literally reach out and touch the Crocodile River, overlooking the game fence of the Kruger National Park, which passes behind Ngwenya. This effectively incorporates the resort into the greater game area and you have every opportunity to see all the same species (Big Five included) that occur in the game-rich south-eastern section of the Kruger Park, without even having to leave the resort. The evergreen riverine habitat of Ngwenya provides an excellent setting from which to enjoy great year-round game viewing and birding. The river view chalets set out over two kilometers of prime river frontage, overlook a scenic floodplain, which allows for magnificent views of an area where the big cats often hunt and guests are treated to unsurpassed game viewing opportunities. Our Dam and Bush view chalets are set back on the property and overlook tranquil dams or bush areas, however, game viewing hides make game viewing on the riverfront accessible to all.

Sep 2017 – Burchell’s Bush Lodge

Staying at Burchell’s Bush Lodge is a unique experience. Not only is it an RCI Gold Crown resort but there is very easy access to Kruger National Park through the Paul Kruger Gate, a mere 200 meters from the resort. Our purpose is to provide Lodge guests with a bushveld experience next to the Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sand Conservation area. The emphasis is on guests’ relaxation and enjoyment of the natural surroundings while indulging in wildlife, birds, and nature in general. We are fortunate to have a large variety of bushveld trees on the property, many of which have been identified and labeled. These attract a variety of birds especially in summer when our locals are joined by many migrant songbirds. Enjoy coffee and rusks on your own patio while listening to the dawn chorus.
