Church building in the town of Clarens. Built from sandstone, a building medium much used in the Eastern Freestate, to build churches, farm houses and other buildings. Churches constructed with sandstone can be found in many East Freestate towns.

Kalk Bay is a fishing village on the coast of False Bay, South Africa and is now a suburb of greater Cape Town. It lies between the ocean and sharply rising mountainous heights that are buttressed by crags of grey Table Mountain Sandstone.
