The Eland is the world’s largest antelope. Males have twisted horns which are thick and tightly spiralled, growing up to 25″ in females and to 50″ in males. Eland belong to the same group as kudus, nyala and bushbuck. According to the AWF, their rich milk, tasty meat, and useful hides have made elands popular ranch animals and hunting targets.

Vervet monkeys are gregarious animals living in organised troops which are dominated by males. Their access to food resources is regulated by the hierarchy of dominance. Females stay with their natal group, whereas males leave the group when they reach puberty. The diet of the vervet monkey is omnivorous, feeding on fruits, flowers and leaves as well as insects. It can differentiate between green and ripe fruit, as primates are one of few mammals with colour vision.

The fork-tailed drongo is a medium-sized bird at 25 cm in length, including the tail. The fork-tailed drongo has a mainly glossy black plumage, with the wings being a little duller. This bird has a large head with a hooked black bill and a red eye. The tail is deeply forked. The fork-tailed drongo can be easily mistaken for a southern black flycatcher as the two birds are very similar in appearance, except the drongo has a red eye and the flycatcher has a brown eye.
