KwaThabisile Bush Retreat – Sneak preview: Review and photographs

A sneak preview and review of our recent visit to Kwathabisile Bush Retreat. We designed their new website and did an extensive photoshoot of their establishment.

Review

From the main city centres, a short trip along the main road and down a dirt road brings you to Kwathabisile, nestled amongst big shady trees and the low rolling hills of Dinokeng. Upon arrival, you are directed to your accommodation unit and eager hands are there to assist with unloading your vehicle.

The seven accommodation units are arranged in a semi-circle and interlinked with walkways that criss-cross underneath one of the huge trees. A sparkling pool with relaxing furniture is located close-by. The surrounding gardens are well kept and maintained.

The unit we occupied was comfortably furnished with a sufficiently stocked kitchenette, catering for your basic needs. Although the units are located in close proximity to each other, they still provide enough privacy. An ample supply of firewood is supplied at a small charge.

Alex and Kai, the hosts, are friendly and engaging and keen to assist with any requests that might arise. Their friendly dogs often come to visit and make sure that everything is still in order!

Kwathabisile provides the ideal venue to unwind and de-stress. In addition to this, it also caters for family get-togethers, team-building exercises and small conferences.

A visit is recommended!

Why good content leads to more bookings

We know you have a business to run, and the last thing you feel you have time for is writing a daily blog, or launching an Instagram campaign for your property. That’s OK. But making sure your website is content-rich – great photos, location detail, activity guides and FAQs (frequently asked questions) – will go a long way towards keeping potential guests on your site, positioning yourself as a local expert and, keeping your site on the first page of online searches.

Clarens is a small town situated in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains in the Free State province of South Africa and nicknamed the “Jewel of the Eastern Free State”. It was established in 1912 and named after the town of Clarens in Switzerland where exiled Paul Kruger spent his last days. Clarens is an artists’ haven with many well-known artists either living in or frequenting the village, with many art galleries scattered around the village square and the town. The tranquil village ambience combined with scenic views and a mild climate has made Clarens a popular getaway for city dwellers from Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Durban, among other places. Clarens is known for its spectacular sandstone mountains and wonderful climate; it is one of the most picturesque spots in South Africa and has recently been acclaimed as the best Trout Fishing waters in South Africa. There are various establishments offering accommodation, including bed & breakfasts, self-catering, lodges, backpackers and farm guest houses in the surrounding area.
