The Umhlanga Coast is characterized by long stretches of sandy beaches that promise stunning backdrops against which to swim, surf, or sunbathe. The Indian Ocean has particularly warm waters, averaging 24 to 26 degrees during the summer. There are a number of beaches along the Umhlanga Coast, spread through the areas of Umhlanga itself, La Lucia, Mount Edgecombe, and Umdloti. The Umhlanga Coast is a magnificent stretch of the South African shoreline. It shows off the splendor and wonder of this country in a tranquil display that remains extremely powerful.

Stack

Tshokwane picnic site is a favorite place to visit for regular Kruger Park visitors and it can get very busy over the local holidays. It’s ideally located between the two most popular rest camps, in an area that’s home to a large array of animals and birds. Tshokwane has recently been revamped and is looking fabulous, with charming thatched bomas and comfortable seating on a big patio. It has a lovely farm stall-type shop that sells everything from delicious coffee and milkshakes to burgers, toasted sandwiches, healthy salads, and homebaked cakes and pastries. The picnic site has braai (BBQ) facilities and gas skottels are available for hire. Tshokwane has toilet facilities.

Eventide

KwaThabisile Game Lodge is situated in the Leeuwkloof Valley Conservancy, a 400-hectare game reserve within 1 hour from Johannesburg and 30 minutes from Pretoria, and offers self-catering accommodation in fully equipped units. In the heart of Gauteng, Dinokeng ‘a place of rivers’, and Leeuwkloof valley, is a game lodge surrounded by wildlife roaming in a 400-hectare game reserve. Walking and hiking trails, viewing game, bird watching, fishing, and identifying trees, shrubs, and insects. Our game includes over 240 grazers including kudu, zebra, blesbuck, impala, wildebeest, eland, waterbuck, duiker, and steenbok. Also warthog, porcupine, jackals, caracal, mongoose, vervet monkeys, bushbabies, baboon, reptiles, snakes, frogs, and tortoises. One can also see 200 species of birds sighted in our area.
