Tiptoe
Jacanas are wading birds and have long legs and large feet with four long toes that help them walk on aquatic vegetation. Jacanas eat insects and other invertebrates.
Stilts
Storks have large and heavy bills. Their nests are also very large and used year after year. They are mute, but clack their bills as a means of communication, especially at or near the nest. They eat insects, worms, fish, and small mammals. They are related to egrets, herons, ibises, and spoonbills, but not to flamingos.
Nibbles
Kudus are browsers and eat leaves and shoots. In dry seasons they eat wild watermelons and other fruit for their liquid content and the natural sugars that they provide. The lesser kudu is less dependent on water sources than the greater kudu.
